Farmers in the Field was an interview series with alumni from For The Love Of Bees Earthworkers: Regenerative Horticulture 101 programme.
The Earthworkers Programme grows the next generation of farmers, who are drawn to learn about the ability of plants to heal the planet through the microbial health in the soil and the magic of photosynthesis.
In this series a network of alumni introduced their farms, mara kai and growing projects, shared key learnings from the Earthworkers Programme and asked questions to our mentors Sarah Smuts-Kennedy, founder of For The Love Of Bees, Daniel Schuurman regenerative agronomist and Levi Brinsdon-Hall regenerative farm mentor.
Our participating Earthworker alumni farmers are committed to the task of following and innovating with regenerative organic growing principles and practices, so they can grow in ways that help mitigate climate change, support biodiversity and increase local food security and community resilience.
We welcome passionate home gardeners, environmental advocates, urban farmers, market, marae or community gardeners, cooks, foodies, urban planners, landscape gardeners, people who want to participate in growing radical hope through food, to watch and learn together with us, as we explore through the lens of a farmer how we can regenerate our food system.
