Take part in an immersive Mana Atua timeline experience showcasing Tangaroa and Tane Mahuta domains featuring past and future native species, purakau, and (kawa) practices.
Walk through tunnels and time as we highlight the impacts of industrialisation destruction before exploring solutions and indigenous tools that are restoring mauri (balance).
The dome, at the centre of this experience, will have you look to the stars with a guided tour and cinematic display. Mana Atua Dome houses Papatuanuku Earth Mother, Ranginui Sky Father, Tane god of the forest and Tangaroa god of the sea.
Tours of the timeline tunnel and dome will run every hour on the hour and take approximately twenty minutes. In between, you are welcome to explore the exhibition at your own pace as well as take part in provided activities including PATH planning.
This exhibition is the culmination of a series of community-driven activities including Redesigning Oil Rig activities for rangatahi and colouring in competitions with tamariki. It is a part of a series of exhibitions taking place before the Auckland Climate Festival.
