You have to look pretty hard to see a stream in Grey Lynn, but they are there! Just mostly underground...
The Anniversary Weekend flooding certainly made everyone more aware of them, and with the accelerating effects of climate change they are likely to make their presence felt again and again.
This hīkoi will explore two of these hidden awa – &nbsp;Opoutukeha Cox’s Creek and Edgar’s Creek. The walk will take a couple of hours, with frequent stops to catch glimpses of these streams and learn a little about what has been done and what might be done to aid flood mitigation and improve native biodiversity.
